General Manager
Main Accountabilities:
Oversee all facets of Customer Support Departments in New Orleans
Cultivate a team environment that provides exceptional customer service while directing the management team and ensuring all staff members perform at a consistently high level
Hire, train and develop staff
Review performance and recommend employees for termination or replacement as needed
Create and implement effective lines of communication throughout the office
Ensure that all administrative functions are carried out quickly and efficiently
Lead and influence staff through effective motivation, leveraging individual strengths to ensure customer satisfaction and maximum productivity
Promote positive employee relations including effective delegation of managerial duties, fostering high staff morale
Address employee issues by collaborating with HR Department
Ensure compliance with all applicable occupational, health, and safety regulations and laws
Required Skills / Qualifications:
Technical and/or business degree preferred
Strong understanding of technology and ability to grasp challenging technical issues
Proven successful track record with at least 5 years experience in senior management positions
Strong management skills with the ability to develop and lead high performance, cross-functional teams
Capable of motivating staff and creating an atmosphere that is professional and focused, but at the same time welcoming and fun
Superior organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
Provide day-to-day oversight and management of assigned facilities including electrical systems, security services, janitorial services, and hospitality services
Assist in the management of renovation/construction projects as required
Schedule preventative maintenance and repairs with vendors and in house staff
Responsible for fire / security / emergency response to facilities
Manage all major repairs within facilities with appropriate contractors / personnel
Direct the purchase and maintenance of all building maintenance equipment
Develop and maintain detailed records of department operations performed at all facilities
Ensure all company equipment, tools and facilities are well maintained and in good working order and functioning properly and safely
Supervise the activities of janitorial staff, if necessary
Maintain accurate records of service contracts, service history, and contact information
Obtain vendor price quotes, prepare contracts and purchase orders, and review and approve invoices
Ensure clean, safe, and pleasant environment for staff and guests
Food and beverage services daily and for company functions including, but not limited to, operating hot dog machine, popcorn machine, coffee maker etc.
Maintain inventory and stock of all pantry products and supplies
Cleanup of appliances, utensils and dishes
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Intermediate computer skills (Internet and MS Office)
3-5 years of related experience or a combination of education, training, and relevant experience that provided the required knowledge to perform the above stated responsibilities
General knowledge of property management
Ability to handle multiple requests and work in a fast paced office environment
Ability to accurately complete tasks assignments & responsibilities in timely manner
Service-minded
Ability to act with integrity in all business transactions
Dependable and flexible
Ability to communicate intelligently and effectively with contractors performing maintenance or upgrade work
Ability to learn quickly, work autonomously, and address any issues that arise day-or-night
Willingness to provide on call support in case of emergencies or other off-hours issues at the facility
Food and beverage services daily and for company functions including, but not limited to, operating hot dog machine, popcorn machine, coffee maker etc.
Maintain inventory and stock of all pantry products and supplies
Purchase kitchen supplies (food and drinks)
Clean and organize surfaces and cabinets
Daily cleanup of appliances, utensils and dishes
Provide various housekeeping duties which include, but are not limited to, keeping the conference room and data center clean and organized
Maintain all supply areas in a neat and organized fashion
Replenish paper and toner cartridges in the facsimile machines regularly
Perform light maintenance and/or repair of facsimile machines and/or calls the appropriate maintenance company for service, as needed
Provide reception coverage as needed
Sort and deliver incoming and outgoing mail and packages, as well as interoffice mail
File and make copies
Make bank deposits
Other duties as assigned
Required Skills / Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Intermediate computer skills (Internet, MS Office)
Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills
One year similar experience with Office Services Assistant responsibilities
Ability to lift heavy items, move furniture, etc. as required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Be self motivated, well organized and detail oriented
